How Did They Do That?

Full Motion Stamp

Dutch agency Solar Initiative did a pretty cool job developing two sets of dynamic postal stamps for TPG Post. This paper short movie - featuring Dutch speed skater Yvonne van Gennip - has been realized using a lenticular effect technology (New Zealand partners) combined with a unique printing process (Australia partners). Incredible how this global innovation package gets available for... exactly, 39 Eurocents."

Clean Your Street Clothes

From Engadget:
Sanyo's AQUA AirWash ozones out germs and odors

While Sanyo's new AQUA washing machine isn't necessarily of the water free variety, it does reduce water consumption with what they call AirWash, a function that generates ozone during the wash or takes care of your dry clean only garments with an ozone-only 30 minute waterless cycle.

Apparently the AQUA's ozone-infused wash cycles kill bacteria and vaporize odors (in addition to making your home smell like someone just shorted a fat electrical circuit).
